Just a quick note that in spite of a 4:30am wakeup call Jan's 7:30am surgery today went well; she's resting in her room at the hospital...more news soon.

- I am in my mid fifties, work in technology, am an avid reader, knitter and beader (I make custom jewelry - mostly with freshwater pearls). I also love to ski and golf, however my knees have been so painful in last several years that I almost totally given those sports up. This blog is being created to allow me to share my bilateral total knee replacement (TKR) journey. It may expand to something else, but I wanted to capture my thoughts, and experiences along the 12 - 16 week journey.
